Edison Podcast Metrics just proved the premise that was founded on; video matters in podcasting!

In the latest survey from Edison, 79 percent of weekly podcast listeners have checked out a video podcast. 79 percent! (That's a good number for our business model.)

Most listeners/viewers, 72 percent, have actively watched the video while listening to the audio. About 62 percent select a video podcast, but listen along passively, without actively viewing the video portion.

And - here's the kicker- the video isn't just part of the episode; it's the foundation for short social media clips that promote and enhance the reach of your podcast. Their words, not ours, but we wholeheartedly agree.

So, a big shout out to the folks at Edison for data that shows we're on the right track!
