For the first time, Podcast Movement Evolutions will be officially embedded within SXSW 2026, marking a major milestone for the podcast industry’s presence at one of the world’s leading media and tech festivals. The event will take place March 13–15 in downtown Austin at the Sky Box venue.
This collaboration between Podcast Movement and Sounds Profitable aims to spotlight podcasting’s growing influence across advertising, culture, and digital media. Bryan Barletta, President of Podcast Movement and Partner at Sounds Profitable, noted the need for “real conversations about growth, measurement, and creativity” in podcasting as it matures within the broader media ecosystem.
The SXSW takeover will feature morning keynotes, sponsored panels, a podcast recording booth for creators, curated networking for decision-makers, and live evening performances—including podcast tapings and celebrity appearances. Sponsors include major players like Acast, Amazon Music, NPR, ESPN, ART19, and Audacy, reflecting strong industry support.
This move further integrates podcasting into mainstream media strategy and positions Evolutions as a key event for brands, platforms, and creators navigating the future of audio.
