Podcast Movement 2025 brought together thousands of creators, tech developers and industry leaders at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas from August 18-21. As the world’s largest podcasting conference, it delivered over 150 sessions, keynotes, and meetups focused on shaping the future of podcasting, especially in the realms of video integration, AI tools and studio design.
Two team members from PodcastVideos.com, Brooke (Studio Innovations) and BAANG (Sales & Marketing), shared their takeaways from the event, offering insight into both the technical trends and creative energy that define today’s podcasting landscape.

First Impressions: A Community That “Speaks the Same Language”
BAANG, who had attended conferences in other industries, was surprised by how large and specialized the crowd was.
“There were thousands of people,” he said, even though 2025 reportedly saw a dip in attendance.
Brooke was equally impressed by the atmosphere, describing it as “podcasters everywhere,” with smooth logistics and strong signage helping attendees navigate the venue. Beyond the scale, both appreciated how easily conversations flowed.
"Working in podcasting sometimes can be like speaking a second language… but at Podcast Movement, everybody spoke the same language," BAANG said. “We didn’t have any issue getting people to interview… everybody wanted to collaborate and connect with other people."
The Big Theme: Video as the Future of Podcasting
If one trend dominated the agenda, it was video.
“There were at least four or five sessions all focused on adding video to your podcast,” Brooke said, “and each one offered a slightly different perspective.”
This emphasis aligns with what’s happening across platforms like YouTube and Spotify, where video podcasts are becoming more mainstream. Attendees weren’t just exploring why video matters, but they were actively learning how to make it work affordably and efficiently.
Brooke and Bang even led their own session on how to add video without breaking the bank, offering practical guidance for creators looking to upgrade their setups.
“Everybody there was locked in,” BAANG said.

Tools & Tech: AI and Studio Advancements
The event also highlighted emerging tools, especially those involving AI and studio automation. Brooke discovered two AI platforms currently looking for beta users – tools that could assist with editing, transcription or even content planning.
Perhaps the most exciting announcement came from Rode, and Brooke said she discussed an upcoming feature with someone from Rode that she can't wait to add to the PodcastVideos.com studio.
“It’s a game changer for live video podcasting,” she said.
Why It Matters: Validation and Collaboration
While they left with new tools and ideas, what stood out most to BAANG was how validating the experience felt.
“Nobody does quite what we do,” he said. “People understood it once I explained it, but when they saw our website, they were like, ‘Oh, this is you guys too?’ It was encouraging to see that what we’re doing stands out.”
He also connected with representatives from Spotify, who are rolling out more video podcast features and expressed interest in future collaborations. Both Brooke and BAANG plan to return to Podcast Movement next year and hope to represent PodcastVideos.com with a bigger presence.
