HERA Launches UK Video Podcast Network Focused on Women

A new UK video podcast network, HERA, backed by media veterans, launches to center women’s voices.

A new video podcast network, HERA, has been launched in the UK by a team of former executives from Google, YouTube, BBC, and Fremantle. Founded by Rosie Allimonos, Nishma Patel Robb, and Kirsty Hunter, HERA's mission is to address what they identify as the most underserved audience in media history: women.

HERA Network’s Mission and Vision

HERA positions itself as more than a podcast network — it’s a media movement built around creators, technologists, and storytellers focused on female-centered content. It aims to amplify voices, stories, and perspectives that historically have lacked representation in mainstream media.

According to its website, the network is “powered by world-class operators, creators and technologists” and seeks to “tell stories through a female lens.”

With a leadership team steeped in high-level media experience, HERA seeks to unlock opportunities for creators and audiences alike. Rosie Allimonos, Nishma Patel Robb, and Kirsty Hunter bring backgrounds spanning global platforms and content houses. Their stated ambition is to build a space where women’s stories aren’t niche – they’re central.

The network’s strategic focus is twofold: first, to support creators who prioritize content resonant with women; and second, to build audience growth and monetization around female viewership. By doing so, HERA hopes to redress a gap in media — that voices aimed at women are often underfunded, under‑promoted, or treated as afterthoughts.

As HERA rolls out projects, partnerships, and shows, it will be one to watch in the UK and beyond — especially for creators seeking a platform built around equity, representation, and reach.
