Accent Launches Free Academy for Global Audio Creators

Accent’s new academy offers free, expert-led development for podcasters and radio producers worldwide while letting them keep 100% ownership.

A new player in the audio production world called Accent is stepping onto the scene. Based in Manchester, UK, Accent combines editorial expertise with strategic know-how to help creators and media teams make more impactful podcasts and radio.

As part of this debut, Accent is introducing the Accent Academy, a no-cost, year-long development program for emerging audio creators worldwide. Graduates get a toolkit of hands-on support: format labs, content clinics, audience and platform growth strategies, editorial innovation and creative and leadership coaching.

Importantly, creators retain 100% ownership of their work.

The founder, James Brownlow – who has held senior roles at major media companies like Global, Bauer and Wireless/News Corp – said Accent aims to help audio content truly land with clarity, confidence and class. A particular focus will be on integrating AI tools into human-centered storytelling: helping creators use new tech without losing the human connection.

Accent already works with media entities in the UK and Ireland, and is building global ties in places like Australia, Canada and the UAE.

For audio creators seeking growth, mentorship and a pathway to refine their craft without giving up creative ownership, Accent Academy offers a compelling opportunity.
