Long-Running Podcast Industry Show “The Feed” Ends After 300+ Episodes

Libsyn retires The Feed, a decade-old podcast about podcasting, as it plans new creator tools for 2026.

One of podcasting’s most enduring meta-shows, The Feed: The Official Libsyn Podcast, is coming to an end. Co-hosted by industry veterans Elsie Escobar and Rob Walch, The Feed has been a trusted source of news, trends, and tips for podcasters since its debut in July 2013. Over 300 episodes later, it leaves a lasting legacy as one of the longest-running podcasts about podcasting.

Launched in the early days of podcasting’s second wave, The Feed covered everything from Windows Phone 8 podcast apps to the rise of Spotify, YouTube and video podcasts. Its mix of insider updates and practical advice made it a must-listen for indie creators and industry pros alike.

In a statement, Libsyn noted: “As Libsyn looks ahead to 2026, we’re excited to introduce new ways to support and celebrate our creator and advertiser community across all our platforms. Stay tuned – more ways to learn, connect, and create are on the way.”

While The Feed concludes, Rob Walch’s original podcast, podCast411, is making a comeback. First launched in 2004, podCast411 was one of the earliest shows to feature interviews with fellow podcasters and helped shape the podcasting landscape.

The retirement of The Feed marks the end of an era for behind-the-scenes podcast commentary — but also signals a new phase as platforms like Libsyn evolve their creator support in 2026.
