DJI Mavic 4 Pro Elevates Drone Filmmaking with 100MP Camera and 360° Gimbal

DJI’s Mavic 4 Pro introduces a triple-camera system, 6K HDR video, and 51-minute flight time for pro creators.

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro represents DJI’s latest flagship consumer drone, designed to elevate aerial photography and cinematography with a comprehensive suite of advanced imaging and flight technologies. Officially released in mid‑2025, the Mavic 4 Pro combines a powerful triple‑camera system, robust flight performance, and enhanced creative flexibility to meet the needs of professional creators and serious hobbyists alike.

At the heart of the Mavic 4 Pro is a 100‑megapixel Hasselblad wide‑angle camera mounted on a novel Infinity Gimbal that supports 360‑degree rotation, allowing filmmakers to capture dynamic shots without physical camera repositioning. This main sensor is complemented by medium‑telephoto and telephoto lenses, each capable of high‑quality stills and video capture.

The drone supports up to 6K/60fps HDR video from the main camera and 4K/120fps from additional lenses, with a range of professional color profiles (including D‑Log M and HLG) for extensive post‑production flexibility.

Flight performance has also improved significantly. The Mavic 4 Pro can remain airborne for up to 51 minutes on a single charge and offers advanced omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, including low‑light sensors and LiDAR‑assisted detection. Its improved aerodynamics and stable GPS plus vision positioning systems enhance reliability in varied conditions, and DJI’s O4+ transmission system supports long‑range HD video links of up to roughly 30 km.

Control options vary by package, with the RC Pro 2 controller featuring a bright, foldable touchscreen designed for intuitive in‑field operation. Storage options include internal space and expanded capacity in Creator Combo bundles, accommodating high‑bitrate footage and extended shooting.

While the Mavic 4 Pro’s advanced capabilities come with a premium price and, in certain markets, regulatory limitations, its combination of cinematic imaging, extended flight time, and intelligent systems positions it among the most capable drones available for visual storytellers in 2025 and beyond.
